Description This unit covers the competency required to erect, operate and dismantle a mobile field shower system to maintain personnel hygiene in a field environment.It involves correctly assembling, conducting cleaning cycles, changing filters and preparing the shower unit for transportation and storage.The operator will normally operate as a member of a team.
Employability Skills This unit contains employability skills.
Learning Outcomes and Application The application of this unit in the workplace - the environments, complexities and situations involved - will be written during Phase II of the Review of the PUA00 Public Safety Training Package.This text will be useful for the purposes of job descriptions, recruitment advice or job analysis; where possible, it will not be too job specific to allow other industries to import it into other Training Packages, where feasible.

Access to mobile field shower system; personal protective equipment (face mask, goggles, hearing protection, impervious clothing and/or apron, gloves and boots); digging equipment (shovels and picks); tool kit (socket set, hammer, shifter and ph/chlorine sensor remover); chemicals; mixing container; measuring container; and a forklift/crane.
